Job description

 Weaving 31: Yarn Service

  1. Supply assigned production areas with required yarn
  2. Properly tie weave knot
  3. Identify and practice loom safety
  4. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area
  5. Starting, stopping loom, and operation of take up rollers
  6. Accumulator function
  7. Quality checks, doffing and scanning tickets  
  8. Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Reed Hook, Leno Hook, scissors, snips, computer, tablet, hand trucks, buggies, scanning wand, pen, broom

Requirements:  Must be able to recognize and differentiate written numbers.  Lift up to 50 lbs. and move cases weighing up to 300 lbs. using hand trucks.  Must be able to continuously walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, stretch (arms and legs) and lift arms above head level while standing on cement floor. Not permitted outside of your assigned work area without your supervisor’s knowledge.
 

Safety:

  1. Hearing protection (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)
  2. Safety glasses (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)
  3. Use of proper lifting procedures
  4. General housekeeping rules
  5. Must complete and follow all required positional safety training
