Job description

Senior Loan Partner (LP2)

Location: Remote (Eastern Standard Time preferred)

Schedule: Full-Time

This is not a processor position.

We're looking for an experienced mortgage professional who can analyze income, credit, and loan structure, issue accurate pre-approvals, proactively manage the pipeline, and solve problems before they become emergencies.

As our Senior Loan Partner (LP2), you will work directly with the broker-owner and play a critical role in the success of every borrower, referral partner, and transaction. You will serve as a trusted resource for borrowers, Realtors, processors, underwriters, and business partners while helping ensure an exceptional client experience from application to closing.

The ideal candidate has strong mortgage knowledge, excellent communication skills, a high level of ownership, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts without sacrificing accuracy.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $70,000 + bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Preapprove Clients: Review new loan applications, analyze income, assets, credit, and supporting documentation, and determine whether a borrower qualifies. You will issue pre-approvals, structure loan scenarios, review AUS findings, and explore all reasonable options before presenting recommendations to the Loan Officer.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers once they apply. You'll answer questions, request documentation, provide updates, explain next steps, and help ensure every client has a smooth and professional experience from application through closing.
  • Own the loan pipeline from contract to close. You'll monitor deadlines, track milestones, and work closely with the processing team to keep files moving efficiently. When needed, you'll assist by coordinating with title companies, insurance agents, Realtors, underwriters, and other third parties to support the processor and help ensure loans close on time.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Realtors and referral partners throughout the transaction. You'll provide status updates, coordinate important milestones, communicate pre-approval decisions, and help ensure all parties remain informed throughout the process.
  • Resolve day-to-day loan issues before escalating them to the Loan Officer. You'll proactively address outstanding conditions, documentation requests, communication gaps, and processing obstacles while coordinating with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and other parties to keep files moving toward a successful closing.

Qualifications:

Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the United States to be considered for this position. Applicants located in Eastern Standard Time zone are preferred.

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage experience.
  • Experience in processing, underwriting, origination, or senior loan partner roles.

  • Proficiency with DU, LPA, and investor guidelines.
  • Experience using mortgage LOS platforms such as ARIVE, LendingPad, Encompass, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any state licenses required to support company operations, including Florida licensing when applicable.
  • Strong computer and technology skills are required. Candidates must be comfortable using video conferencing platforms, mortgage software, cloud-based systems, and multiple applications simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote work environment are required.

About Company

KCL Funding Group is a mortgage brokerage built on three principles: Knowledge. Community. Legacy.

We help first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, veterans, investors, and self-employed borrowers navigate mortgage decisions with confidence. Our focus is clear guidance, strong communication, and a smooth path to closing.

I'm Khaled Morad, owner and mortgage broker of KCL Funding Group. Prior to becoming a mortgage broker, I taught high school English. I've found that most people don't need more mortgage jargon. They need someone who can explain their options clearly and help them make a confident decision.

Most of our business consists of conventional, FHA, and VA financing, but we also have extensive experience with investment properties and Non-QM lending solutions.

We are built on accountability, communication, efficiency, and results. We hold ourselves to a high standard and take pride in delivering an exceptional experience for both clients and referral partners.
