Position Summary

KCConsulting is seeking a motivated, outgoing Staffing Specialist / Recruiter with a strong sales mindset to join our team. This position combines recruiting, candidate management, client service, and business development.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thinks outside the box, enjoys building relationships, isn’t afraid to pick up the phone, and understands that successful staffing requires both finding great candidates and developing strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Staffing

  • Recruit, screen, interview, and qualify candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and creative recruiting strategies.
  • Match qualified candidates with client openings based on skills, experience, availability, and culture fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, job offers, onboarding, and start dates.
  • Complete and maintain required onboarding documentation, including I-9s and employment paperwork.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates before and after placement.
  • Follow up with new hires to improve attendance, retention, and overall employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, employee, and client information within company systems.
Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local market.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, networking, and prospecting to generate new staffing leads.
  • Schedule meetings with prospective clients and introduce KCConsulting’s staffing services.
  • Build relationships with HR professionals, hiring managers, business owners, and community partners.
  • Follow up consistently on sales leads and prospective accounts.
  • Identify additional staffing opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Partner with clients to understand their workforce needs and provide customized staffing solutions.
  • Represent KCConsulting professionally at networking events, job fairs, community events, and client meetings.
What We’re Looking For

  • Recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound sales and recruiting calls.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with candidates, employees, and business leaders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple openings and priorities.
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Goal-driven and motivated by measurable results.
  • Creative approach to recruiting and business development.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
Success in This Role

Success isn’t measured by filling jobs alone. The Staffing Specialist / Recruiter will be expected to recruit, retain, build relationships, and grow business.
Key performance areas include candidate activity, successful placements, employee retention, client satisfaction, sales activity, new client development, and overall account growth.
