We are looking for an individual to join the Dispatch Team. The position is responsible for coordinating a small fleet, we are in the ISO/Container tank industry.

About Just Tanx LLC; 

Just Tanx LLC coordinates ISO tank intermodal moves through the major New Jersey terminals and nearby rail ramps. We focus on liquid bulk freight in tank containers and need a dispatcher who can keep tanks moving on time while managing equipment, appointments, and compliance. We have a small fleet.

About the Role 

The ISO Tank Intermodal Dispatcher plans and dispatches tank-container pickups and deliveries at APM, Maher, Global, and NYCT, as well as nearby rail ramps (including CSX Kearny and NS Croxton), tank-wash facilities, and customer sites. You will own daily scheduling, driver assignments, and real-time issue resolution for chemical, food-grade, and other bulk-liquid ISO tanks. 

Key Responsibilities 

-Dispatch drivers and specialized equipment for ISO tank moves at APM, Maher, Global, and NYCT, plus rail ramps, wash racks, and customer locations.

Track tank and chassis availability; distinguish empty vs. loaded status and required prep work.

-Schedule tank-wash, heating, cooling, or other servicing when needed.

-Manage terminal and rail appointments at APM, Maher, Global, and NYCT to control dwell, detention, and demurrage.

-Communicate clearly with drivers, terminal personnel, rail operators, wash facilities, customers, and internal staff.

-Confirm product details, documentation, and any special handling requirements before dispatch.

-Maintain accurate records in the TMS and related systems.

-Solve delays, gate issues, equipment problems, and last-minute changes while protecting safety and service levels.

Required Qualifications;

-Experience dispatching intermodal, tank, or bulk-liquid freight (ISO tank experience strongly preferred).

-Working knowledge of APM, Maher, Global, and NYCT operations, appointment systems, and gate processes.

-Familiarity with nearby rail ramps and ISO tank equipment, documentation, and basic hazardous-materials / food-grade rules as they apply to dispatch.

-Proficiency with Profit Tools, Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook), and driver/customer communication.

-Ability to work early morning starts and a flexible operations schedule.

Strong organization and calm decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications; 

-Bilingual English/Spanish.

-Direct experience with chemical, food-grade, or temperature-controlled ISO tanks.

-Knowledge of tank-wash networks and tank-specific chassis.

-Experience with overweight, bonded, or specialized tank moves.

Compensation and Benefits; 

Competitive salary based on experience. Local intermodal dispatcher pay typically ranges from $55,000–$80,000, with specialty tank roles often toward the higher end.
