Our client is a rapidly growing real estate owner and property manager that develops and operates a diversified portfolio of residential and commercial assets. To support the continued growth of its operations, the organization is seeking an experienced leader who can drive operational excellence, financial performance, and customer experience across its entire real estate portfolio.

Reporting to senior management, the Director of Operations and Real Estate Asset Management plays a key role in the overall management of a large-scale real estate portfolio. This individual is responsible for overseeing property management teams, optimizing operations, supervising strategic vendors, and ensuring high standards of service and quality are maintained.

This position requires a manager who can combine strategic vision with a hands‑on approach to continuously improve asset performance and occupant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Customer Experience

• Foster a service culture focused on excellence and responsiveness.
• Ensure the effective resolution of tenant and occupant requests, including complex situations.
• Drive continuous improvements in the customer experience and stakeholder communications.

Leadership and Operations Management

• Provide operational leadership for a diversified real estate portfolio.
• Lead and develop a team of managers and coordinators responsible for day-to-day operations.
• Implement management practices that promote accountability, performance, and talent development.
• Ensure operational excellence across all properties under management.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Financial Performance

• Participate in the development of annual budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Analyze asset performance and recommend initiatives to enhance profitability.

Property and Vendor Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of infrastructure, building systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors while ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are maintained.

Continuous Improvement

• Develop and standardize operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance systems, tools, and work methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in residential, commercial, or mixed‑use property management.
• Proven experience managing multiple sites and leading operational teams.
• Strong understanding of real estate operations, building maintenance, and vendor management.
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems, preventive maintenance programs, and safety standards.
• Strong ability to structure, plan, and optimize operations.
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented, and customer‑focused approach.
• Bilingualism in French and English.
