Job description

Judit Inc. is recruiting on behalf of one of our premier healthcare clients—one of the nation's leading rehabilitation hospital systems with more than 80 hospitals across the United States. Due to continued growth, our client is currently seeking three Board Eligible/Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physicians to join its Delaware team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping patients recover from serious injuries, illnesses, and complex medical conditions through comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services.

Position Overview

The Physician will provide comprehensive Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, and hospital leadership. This role reports clinically to the Chief Medical Officer and administratively to the Hospital Chief Executive Officer or their designee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient PM&R consultations, evaluations, admissions, and daily patient rounding.
  • Diagnose and manage patients with physical, neurological, musculoskeletal, and cognitive impairments.
  • Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans.
  • Perform history and physical examinations, pre-admission assessments, and rehabilitation evaluations.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team conferences and coordinate patient care.
  • Manage patients with complex rehabilitation needs, pain management, and disability-related conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including Progress Notes, Individualized Plans of Care (IPOC), Admission Orders, IRF-PAI documentation, and regulatory records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical education activities.

Qualifications

Required

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency
  • Current Delaware medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Current clinical experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Preferred

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
