Position Overview

Joyful Journeys Mental Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to fill a full-time remote position. In this pivotal role, you will provide effective therapeutic services to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being of clients suffering from a variety of mental health conditions. Your expertise will allow you to design personalized treatment plans that drive positive outcomes for our patients, while collaborating with a supportive team of mental health professionals.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing the flexibility to maintain work-life balance while working from the comfort of your home. You will be expected to maintain a consistent schedule, primarily working Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on the needs of your patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify clients' needs and formulate individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to provide care for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups designed to create a sense of community and assist clients in addressing common mental health concerns.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to ensure integrated care that meets the holistic needs of each patient.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and treatment progress while adhering to legal, ethical, and confidential guidelines.
  • Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in mental health therapy to enhance your practices and outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Joyful Journeys, you will serve a diverse population grappling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Your interventions will significantly impact clients from all walks of life, and you will work towards providing dignified and respectful care tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapies.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Experience in providing both individual and group therapy to a variety of client demographics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients empathetically and professionally.
  • Sound judgment and adherence to ethical guidelines in practice.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various office software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a clinical mental health setting, providing therapy to clients.
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support systems available to clients in need.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
