Josefa Rivas DDS PC is looking for a motivated and compassionate full-time Dental Assistant to support our dental team in Woodside, NY. You will provide chairside assistance during procedures, manage sterilization and patient records, and help educate patients on oral health. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to provide exceptional care to our diverse patient community.

Job Description

Assist the dentist chairside during dental procedures
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately
Maintain and update patient records and charts
Prepare patients for treatment and provide oral hygiene education
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dental workspace
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and appointment coordination as needed

Salary Range

Full-time $19 - $22 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Mondays 9am-5pm
Tuesdays 9am-5pm
Wednesdays 9am-5pm
Thursdays 9am-5pm
Fridays (1 to 2 Fridays of the month) 8:30am-1pm
Saturdays (when needed) 8am-3pm

Requirements

• Experienced Dental Assistant (1+ years)
• General Dentistry
• iTero

1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (Spanish is mandatory)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficient computer and data entry abilities
Knowledge of dental sterilization, infection control, and radiography procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

MUST be bilingual - English and Spanish
Experience with dental software
Experience with dental office administrative tasks
Familiarity with dental imaging equipment operation
Ability to provide preventive health education and counseling
