Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly provide clinical support to clients experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and/or severe emotional disorders, including assessments, therapy sessions, and crisis interventions.
  • Develop and implement integrated care plans that ensure client access to necessary services, maintaining open communication with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct brief, evidence-based screenings and arrange for comprehensive assessments when required, ensuring that all evaluations are developmentally appropriate.
  • Participate actively in team collaborations to enhance service delivery and achieve shared goals, demonstrating commitment to diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Provide a wide range of prevention, treatment, and recovery services, while maintaining safety standards and ethical guidelines established by the organization.
  • Monitor client progress through meetings, assessments, and timely report submissions to ensure adherence to treatment plans against established admission and discharge criteria.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in committees focused on improving agency operations and quality of services offered.
  • Be available for on-call assistance during and after program hours, addressing urgent client needs as they arise.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients typically come from diverse backgrounds and face a range of challenges related to mental health, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other severe emotional disturbances. As an LCSW, you will be instrumental in creating a safe space for clients to express their concerns and work collaboratively towards their therapeutic goals. Your role is vital in promoting client empowerment and fostering resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • Must hold a valid LCSW license in New Jersey.
  • Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment approaches tailored to diverse populations and developmental stages.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring effective engagement with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work effectively within various external systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple client caseloads while prioritizing tasks efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of professional clinical experience in a related setting.
  • Experience working with individuals in under-resourced communities.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology platforms used to deliver mental health services.
  • Evidence of collaborative work within interdisciplinary teams.
