Job description

Job Summary:
Jeppesen ForeFlight builds industry-leading aviation software used by pilots, aircraft operators, and major airlines worldwide. The Sr Product Manager will leverage deep aviation domain expertise to manage the Airport Moving Map product lifecycle and ensure alignment with customer requirements and company goals.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate product requirements to software engineering and data production teams, ensuring collaboration and coordination on data, asset, and product specification enhancements aligned to roadmap targets.
• Document end-to-end business requirements and understand data needs for AMM products including avionics-integrated and EFB-based displays, front-panel applications, and back-office infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate across portfolios with internal consumers of AMM data — including Flight Deck and ForeFlight Mobile product and engineering teams — to ensure roadmap alignment.
• Coordinate with external airline and avionics customers to ensure customer requirements are integrated into the product roadmap.
• Document product architecture and develop product processes.
• Participate in data governance decisions and maintain data quality standards.
• Determine product pricing, pricing schedules, annual pricing updates, product plans, roadmaps, and product release plans.
• Develop new Airport Moving Map product concepts through to eventual launch, as well as vision documents to initiate technology development efforts.
• Manage all aspects of AMM product lifecycle management including the development and presentation of business cases.
• Serve as the single point of contact for all ongoing Airport Moving Map product decisions, ensuring implementation consistency and effective client communication.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, distribution, support, technology services, data services, and legal/contracts to drive product decisions.
• Develop competitive response and contingency plans to address market-specific needs.
• Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and customer/partner meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience in product development/management, program management, and/or financial analysis.
• Significant aviation domain expertise required — specifically experience with avionics systems from OEM manufacturers such as Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, Garmin, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Airport Moving Map products, avionics display applications, or airport navigation data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, specifically with software engineering and sales/marketing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and operate with high autonomy in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred:
• BA/BS in Technology, Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred.
• Experience with geospatial data, mapping, or aviation navigation systems.
• Familiarity with airport operations, ATC environments, or runway incursion prevention.
• Experience with web-based geospatial tools or digital mapping platforms.
• Prior work at an avionics OEM, airline, or aeronautical data provider.
