Jefferson Wells is seeking a Tax Consultant to support the domestic tax and finance teams of one of our clients, a global manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, collaborative problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.
Job Title: Tax Consultant
Location: Hybrid – Fort Collins, CO
Pay Rate: $55+/hour (W2, based on experience)
What’s the Job?

  • Provide hands-on tax support and serve as back-up coverage for tax staff as business needs require.
  • Prepare the quarterly federal tax provision using OneSource, including supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
  • Assist third-party providers with federal and state tax compliance, including the review of tax returns and supporting schedules.
  • Calculate quarterly Schedule M-1 and other book-to-tax adjustments, including stock-based compensation items.
  • Perform complex consolidations of multiple Schedule M adjustments and calculate research and development related tax adjustments.
What’s Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience preparing federal tax provisions and Schedule M adjustments in a corporate tax environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with OneSource and partnering with external tax service providers.
  • Ability to work onsite in Fort Collins three days per week is required.
