Schedule and Calendar:


This is a seasonal, part-time position designed to support Jefferson RISE's student recruitment and enrollment efforts during peak enrollment periods.


The anticipated employment period is May through August, with exact dates determined annually based on enrollment needs. Work schedules are flexible and may include daytime, evening, and occasional weekend hours to support community outreach events, enrollment activities, and family engagement opportunities.


Hours will vary based on organizational needs but are generally expected to range from 10-25 hours per week. Additional hours may be available during high-demand enrollment periods and special events.


This position is not eligible for guaranteed weekly hours and employment concludes at the end of the designated recruitment season unless otherwise extended by Jefferson RISE.

Position Summary


Jefferson RISE Charter School is seeking outgoing and motivated Student and Family Enrollment Ambassadors to support student recruitment and enrollment efforts throughout the summer.

Enrollment Ambassadors serve as representatives of Jefferson RISE in the community by sharing information about the school, connecting with prospective families, generating enrollment leads, and helping families complete the enrollment process. This position is ideal for current college students, recent high school graduates, or individuals looking to gain experience in education, marketing, customer service, or community outreach.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Student Recruitment


  • Promote Jefferson RISE to prospective students and families.
  • Attend community events, enrollment events, and outreach activities.
  • Distribute promotional materials and share information about the school.
  • Generate enrollment leads and encourage families to apply.
  • Help families complete enrollment applications.
  • Track outreach efforts and prospective student contacts.
  • Support the school's enrollment goals and initiatives.


Family Engagement


  • Build positive relationships with prospective students and families.
  • Answer basic questions about Jefferson RISE and the enrollment process.
  • Follow up with families through phone calls, text messages, and email.
  • Assist with school tours, open houses, and registration events.


School Representation


  • Model Jefferson RISE's values of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
  • Represent the school professionally in all interactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and family information.
  • Promote a positive image of Jefferson RISE throughout the community.


CANDIDATE PROFILE


Qualifications


  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, recruiting, marketing, community outreach, education, family engagement, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with new people.
  • Reliable, professional, and self-motivated.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms).
  • Reliable transportation preferred.

COMPENSATION


Jefferson RISE offers competitive hourly compensation based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to support enrollment goals.


  • Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment and enrollment activities.
  • Seasonal and part-time position with hours varying based on enrollment needs and recruitment calendar.


Performance Incentives


Student and Family Enrollment Ambassadors are eligible for performance-based incentive compensation tied directly to enrollment outcomes. Increased pay opportunities may be available for:


  • Achievement of individual enrollment goals
  • Achievement of school-wide enrollment targets
