Overview

We are a patient-focused, relationship-driven dental practice seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality care in a positive, supportive environment where both patients and team members feel valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their oral health knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR), documenting treatment details, medical information, and dental terminology clearly and thoroughly.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing healthcare infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Operate dental equipment safely and effectively while staying current with advancements in dental technology and best practices.
  • Support patient care by assessing medical conditions such as vital signs and coordinating with the healthcare team when necessary.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all medical records and sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
  • Deliver an outstanding patient experience.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Softdent is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedure and medical/dental terminology.
  • Familiarity with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing clear instructions and fostering a welcoming environment.
  • Knowledge of dental coding, documentation review, and electronic health record management enhances accuracy in patient records.
