Auto Body Paint Prepper

James Auto is looking for a dependable and motivated Auto Body Paint Prepper to join our team. We are an independent body shop that takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and delivering excellent results for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint work
• Sand and block panels to ensure smooth finishes
• Mask, tape, and bag vehicles prior to painting
• Unbag and perform tear down after paint work
• Buff and polish completed paint jobs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist painters and technicians as needed
• Follow all shop safety procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of auto body paint prep experience required
• Knowledge of sanding, masking, taping, blocking, and buffing techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
