Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Database Administrator. The Database Administrator will manage, monitor, and optimize database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and maintaining databases, performing backups and recovery, managing user access and permissions, and implementing data integrity and security controls. The role also involves troubleshooting database issues, tuning queries, supporting development and analytics teams, and participating in planning for capacity, upgrades, and migrations. The Database Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that database solutions meet business requirements and comply with best practices.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and general Databases management.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Replication for scalable and resilient systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving database performance and reliability issues.
• Experience with one or more major relational database platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery strategies, and performance tuning best practices is beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services and scripting or automation tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
