Department: Jackson Health System (Country Walk - Jackson Employee & Dependents Primary Care Practice)

Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Ambulatory & Physician Services Division is a growing multi-specialty physician network of physicians and specialists who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at many different specialty care centers, seek to hire a primary care physician (Family Medicine) to join our highly regarded multi-specialty practice to open our first clinic Jackson Health System Employee & Dependents Clinic in Miami-Dade County to serve Jackson Health System employees and their families.

The Primary Care physician / Attending Physician is responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the employee clinic/center of responsibility.

  • Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients.
  • Primary Care with average daily patient volume of 18-20.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.

Experience

Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.

 License/Certification

  • Valid Florida Medical License.
  • DEA and board certification or eligible in Family Medicine are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus. 
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
