We're a family- and community-focused ice cream and candy shop with a Lowcountry soul — handcrafted ice cream, pralines, brittle, and chocolates made fresh and served with genuine Southern hospitality. What You'll Do

The Store Manager owns the daily operations of the store — guest experience, retail, and staff — reporting to the General Manager. You'll keep the floor running smoothly, the team accountable, and the product consistent, so the store performs to Pecan Jacks standards every single shift. We're known for gourmet ice cream, artisan candies, and warm, genuine hospitality, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to run the day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Ensure every guest gets the full Pecan Jacks Experience, every visit.

• Maintain our 5-star reputation across review sites.

• Champion a “Customer First” mentality on the floor.

• Lead and reinforce our sampling culture as part of the guest experience.

Retail

• Maintain proper retail inventory levels and oversee FIFO product rotation.

• Oversee waffle cone prep and ice cream case maintenance.

• Oversee chocolate dipping.

• Train and oversee cash register operations and proper cash handling.

• Complete daily shift checklists and operational tasks via Jolt.

• Handle bank deposits and change orders.

• Uphold sanitation and health department compliance on the floor.

Staff

• Supervise and schedule staff using 7shifts; verify and approve hours worked.

• Coach, train, and re-train team members to hit quality and production standards.

• Hold the team accountable for delivering an excellent guest experience.

• Communicate and delegate responsibilities clearly across shifts.

• Track employee performance and provide regular feedback.

• Ensure compliance with wage & hour laws, including rules for minors.

• Participate in interviews and provide hiring/firing recommendations to the GM.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of management or supervisory experience in restaurant, retail, or specialty food.

• Comfortable running the floor in a fast-paced, high-volume environment — this is a hands-on leadership role.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

• Calm, steady leadership during high-volume rushes.

• Solid communication skills with both staff and guests.

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends until close.
