Jackovic Construction Company is a General Contractor now accepting applications for a travelling superintendent position. Candidate must be open to 100% travelling where the work is located. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of field experience managing retail commercial construction specifically, including restaurant experience. Responsibilities include planning and accomplishing the work as defined in the construction documents. The majority of our projects are located from the mid west to the east coast. The Superintendent is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, managing the project schedule, maintaining the projects budget, and ensuring a timely project close out. Jackovic Construction is a drug free work place. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, maintains a positive attitude, and possesses a detailed knowledge and experience in retail construction. A candidate must be able to effectively communicate with the individuals in our organization as well as with our clients representatives involved with the project.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to travel

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Must have a valid drivers license

Must have a reliable vehicle

Must have the ability to travel frequently and be away from home for multiple weeks at a time.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach, stand, kneel and climb ladders during the project and during site surveys.

Should have at least 3 years experience as Site Superintendent

Must have experience with metal framing, drywall, finishing work, acoustical ceilings, electrical, fire alarms painting, plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler systems, and restaurant hoods.

Must possess the ability to prioritize work and maintain a positive attitude and composure during a stressful situation.

Must be able to plan and execute a project in short amount of time to the satisfaction of the client.

Must understand how to read blueprints.

Must be able to communicate in advance potential change orders to the Project Manager.

Complete and submit paperwork in a timely manner.

Schedule all company deliveries.

Must Enforce Safety on the job site.

Attend Walk through at job completion to ascertain punch list.

Close out field office and project as necessary.
