About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and engaging Homeschool Teacher to provide instruction for three wonderful students in a private homeschool setting—one kindergarten student and two second-grade students.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching multiple elementary grade levels simultaneously and enjoys creating a structured, encouraging, and engaging learning environment. We are looking for someone who can foster a love of learning while meeting each child's individual academic needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach and guide one kindergarten student and two second-grade students using a homeschool curriculum.
- Confidently manage instruction across multiple grade levels while providing individualized attention.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children feel encouraged to grow.
- Make learning fun through hands-on activities, educational games, reading, creative projects, and interactive lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods to each student's learning style and pace.
- Encourage independence, confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine that balances academics with creativity and exploration.
- Work collaboratively with parents to support each child's educational goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching in a homeschool, private school, elementary school, or similar educational setting is required.
- Experience teaching multiple elementary grade levels at the same time is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- California teaching credential is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Patient, dependable, creative, and passionate about helping children succeed.
