Summary:

J. Walker Transportation is hiring dependable Local Class A CDL Drivers in Fort Pierce, FL for a dedicated Niagara Water lane. This position offers weekly pay, consistent freight, no-touch freight, and home daily routes. Drivers will be responsible for safely operating a semi-truck, maintaining strong communication, and delivering reliable service on local routes.

Qualified candidates must have a valid Class A CDL, be 21 or older, have 2–3 years of OTR experience. Pay starts at $22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A semi-truck on local routes

Transport freight on a dedicated lane with consistent scheduling

Ensure timely pickup and delivery of loads

Follow all DOT safety regulations and company policies

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Maintain accurate delivery records and required paperwork

Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members

Keep equipment clean, safe, and in good operating condition

Handle no-touch freight while maintaining delivery accuracy

Represent J. Walker Transportation with professionalism on the road

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Local Class A CDL Driver position should meet the following requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL license
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 2–3 years of OTR driving experience
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable, safety-focused, and professional
• Ability to follow DOT regulations and company policies
• Experience with dedicated lanes preferred
• Must be comfortable with local routes and home-daily schedules
