Job description

The J Davis Construction division of J. Davis Inc., a family-owned organization providing construction, grading, supplemental maintenance, and industrial services to South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. With four divisions and three offices in the coastal and upstate regions of South Carolina, we are proud to offer superior services to the southeastern United States.
J Davis Construction is now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving company growth through the development and execution of a comprehensive business development plan. This individual will work to establish new business relationships, foster existing client relationships, and secure construction projects that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Job Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Produce and manage the business development plan
  • Pursing new opportunities and business relationships which produce construction projects
  • Has first contact with new customers and determines how to pursue their needs and wants
  • Follows up with existing customers to promote new projects
  • Work in collaboration with members of the internal team to create opportunities for projects
  • Network with clients and partners through direct meetings, industry events and associations
  • Representing the company at economic development meetings
  • Present qualifications to clients
  • Produce and track an annual budget for business development

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications ·
  • Knowledge of Construction trends ·
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement ·
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software ·
  • Experience in sales research and strategic analysis ·
  • 5+ Years of experience in a business development role for commercial construction or related field ·
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction science amp; management or related field is preferred
