Middle/High School Instructional Technology Coach
Position: Middle/High School Instructional Technology Coach
Work Schedule:180 days per year, 8 paid holidays
Hours: 35 hrs. weekly
Compensation: As per teacher agreement
Reports to: Director of Professional Development/Director of Technology
Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Professional Development/Director of Technology, support middle school instructional staff in the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology tools and digital resources into daily instruction aligned with curriculum standards.
- Provide individualized and small-group coaching for teachers on the effective use of instructional technology.
- Plan and deliver professional development sessions focused on educational technology, digital citizenship, and innovation in the classroom.
- Model technology-enhanced lessons and co-teach with teachers to support successful implementation.
- Stay current on emerging educational technologies and tools, and evaluate their applicability to classroom instruction.
- Participate in a district-wide technology team.
- Assist teachers with the use of digital platforms (e.g., Google, Canvas, IXL) to support student learning.
- Collaborate with instructional leaders and PLCs to support the integration of technology within core academic areas.
- Support teachers in using technology for data collection, analysis, and instructional planning.
- Analyze school and district data from formative and summative sessions.
- Create spreadsheets and visual representations of school and district data.
- Troubleshoot instructional technology issues in partnership with the Technology Department.
- Develop and curate instructional resources and tutorials for staff.
- Support the integration of digital assessment tools and formative feedback platforms (e.g., IXL, ILEARN Checkpoints).
- Collaborate with the high school and elementary technology coaches.
- Stay current on knowledge of internet safety, digital citizenship, and cybersecurity best practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency with common educational software and platforms (e.g., Canvas, Google, IXL).
- Awareness of emerging technologies and their potential applications in education (e.g., AI in education).
- Understanding of digital content creation tools and resources.
- Knowledge of middle school curriculum and content standards.
- Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.
Education/Training:
- Valid Indiana teaching license (required)
- Five years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level is highly desirable.
- Experience with professional development delivery, data analysis, and teacher support is highly desirable.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards: Works in standard office and school building environments.
