Middle/High School Instructional Technology Coach
Position: Middle/High School Instructional Technology Coach
Work Schedule:180 days per year, 8 paid holidays
Hours: 35 hrs. weekly
Compensation: As per teacher agreement
Reports to: Director of Professional Development/Director of Technology
Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Professional Development/Director of Technology, support middle school instructional staff in the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology tools and digital resources into daily instruction aligned with curriculum standards.
2. Provide individualized and small-group coaching for teachers on the effective use of instructional technology.
3. Plan and deliver professional development sessions focused on educational technology, digital citizenship, and innovation in the classroom.
4. Model technology-enhanced lessons and co-teach with teachers to support successful implementation.
5. Stay current on emerging educational technologies and tools, and evaluate their applicability to classroom instruction.
6. Participate in a district-wide technology team.
7. Assist teachers with the use of digital platforms (e.g., Google, Canvas, IXL) to support student learning.
8. Collaborate with instructional leaders and PLCs to support the integration of technology within core academic areas.
9. Support teachers in using technology for data collection, analysis, and instructional planning.
10. Analyze school and district data from formative and summative sessions.
11. Create spreadsheets and visual representations of school and district data.
12. Troubleshoot instructional technology issues in partnership with the Technology Department.
13. Develop and curate instructional resources and tutorials for staff.
14. Support the integration of digital assessment tools and formative feedback platforms (e.g., IXL, ILEARN Checkpoints).
15. Collaborate with the high school and elementary technology coaches.
16. Stay current on knowledge of internet safety, digital citizenship, and cybersecurity best practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Proficiency with common educational software and platforms (e.g., Canvas, Google, IXL).
2. Awareness of emerging technologies and their potential applications in education (e.g., AI in education).
3. Understanding of digital content creation tools and resources.
4. Knowledge of middle school curriculum and content standards.
5. Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.

Education/Training:

1. Valid Indiana teaching license (required)
2. Five years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level is highly desirable.
3. Experience with professional development delivery, data analysis, and teacher support is highly desirable.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards: Works in standard office and school building environments.
