Summary
Will be responsible for data analysis, requirements gathering to deliver data solutions such as analysis, reports, dashboards and supporting data engineering pipelines to enable stakeholders to make better data driven decisions.
What you'll do
  • Team and Leadership Functions (20%)
    • Be an advocate for Champion trust-based relationships with business and IT teams by delivering value-added solutions within established deadlines
    • Support solution building by educating stakeholders all data requirements needed to execute
    • Assist in making business critical decisions and initiating ROI projects by providing leaders with key business insights
    • Support teams in making informed data decisions
    • Provide Mentoring to more junior team members as required
  • Technical Functions (60%)
    • Act as subject matter expert and IT data steward for assigned data domains
    • Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners to define data requirements and source-to-target mapping necessary to support analytics initiatives
    • Create quality technical specifications as required for Data Engineers and BI Developers as required
    • Develop quality BI deliverables as required to specifications
    • Participate in solution design and discussion with various Data and IT Teams
    • Align and assist with the implementation and adoption of our team standards and policies on our data assets
    • Support Business and IT leaders by performing ad hoc investigation and analysis
    • Create and execute test plans on data deliverables prior to live deployment
  • Administrative and Logistical functions (20%)
    • Documentation updates as required (business glossary, test plan, knowledge catalog)
    • Project status updates as required
    • Communicate and develop training artifacts to assist with new data deployments

Requirements
Qualifications, Education, & Experience
  • College or University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related studies
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in using business intelligence, analytics and/or data visualization tools
  • 5 + years of experience in working within a SDLC framework in delivering BI solutions, playing various roles as needed
  • Experience with developing technical specifications for Data Engineering and BI development teams
  • Experience with Commercial/Sales Business Processes is highly recommended
  • Experience with Qlik, Microsoft Power BI or IBM Cognos is preferred
  • Experience as a Data Steward within a Data Governance framework is preferred
  • CPG or Beverage experience is a plus
  • Experience with Enterprise Performance Management tools is a plus

  • Strong proficiency in SQL with an understanding of data warehousing best practices
