Position: Automotive Technician

Wage: $23.30 / hour (minimum starting wage)

Full Time Career Service/Benefits Eligible Position

Job Summary: Under the daily general direction of the Iron County Fleet Supervisor, performs semi-skilled to skilled work relating to the maintenance of Iron County vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications Include: High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of formal work experience performing mechanical activities in automotive and diesel mechanics or any combination of education and experience related to the essential functions of this position.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver License in accordance with Iron County Personnel Policy Section 30 and maintain compliance with policy – including maintaining an acceptable driving record; Attend any required training when needed and/or scheduled; Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
