The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for the use and application of quality and process improvement tools, and methods for developing and improving processes throughout the organization. Assist with engaging leaders to empower staff to drive improvements that will impact the initiatives of San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Design, implement, and evaluate quality improvement projects using evidence-based methodologies (e.g., Plan-Do-Study-Act, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, analyze trends, and recommend changes to improve care delivery using tools like root cause analysis (RCA) and failure modes effect and analysis (FME
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance patient care and operational performance
  • Advise SCAHC teams on process improvement methodologies and support service improvement projects to enhance patient safety and organizational outcomes
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics and safety data to stakeholders.
  • Use data visualization tools to present findings effectively
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to gather input, design solutions, and ensure adoption
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to measure the impact of changes.
  • Manages process improvement project timelines, agenda development, minutes, documents and presentation preparation, and reports on project progress
  • Act as a resource for staff and leadership regarding quality and process improvement
  • Support compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously
  • Use data analytics to support decision-making and document process changes for records
  • Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare-related field, communications or equivalent combination of quality/process improvement experience and education. Alternatively, the ability to complete a bachelor’s degree within 2 years of hire.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare field. With two (2) years of progressive performance improvement experience.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or will obtain certification in healthcare quality within one year of hire.
