Position Overview

InterpretAI is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing network of remote interpreters. This opportunity is ideal for bilingual professionals who want to use their language skills to help people communicate effectively in healthcare, legal, business, and other professional settings.

Bilingual skills and previous interpreting experience are preferred—but don’t let a lack of experience stop you from applying.

If you are bilingual but have never worked professionally as an interpreter, we can help you develop the skills and training needed to begin your interpreting career through our Interpreter Career Quest.

Applicants who still need to develop or verify the necessary language proficiency may also begin through the Career Quest pathway to learn about the steps required to become a qualified interpreter.

What You’ll Do

As a Remote Interpreter, you may:

• Provide professional interpretation between English and another language..

• Facilitate communication between clients and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals..

• Interpret conversations accurately, completely, and impartially..

• Maintain confidentiality and follow professional interpreting ethics..

• Use InterpretAI’s technology platform to accept and complete interpreting assignments..

• Provide excellent customer service during every interpreting encounter..

• Complete required onboarding, training, and proficiency requirements..

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have one or more of the following:

• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency..

• Professional interpreting experience..

• Medical, legal, educational, community, or customer-service experience..

• Strong communication and listening skills..

• Reliable internet access and an appropriate environment for remote interpreting..

• Professionalism, dependability, and a willingness to learn..
