International Preparatory Academy is looking for a Toddler Lead Teacher to join our growing team. No childcare experience is required—we provide training for individuals who have the right attitude, a love for children, and a willingness to grow professionally.

• Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment.
• Lead fun, age-appropriate learning activities.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow daily schedules and licensing guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with your teaching team to create an exceptional learning experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to complete required state training (provided).

What You'll Do

Specific Responsibilities:

Toddler Teacher

• Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
• Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them.
• Mediating conflict between students.
• Modeling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.
• Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives.
• Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.
• Attending parent and staff meetings.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Engage infant with fun and educational activities.
• Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with families and provide regular daily updates.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Requirements:

• Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or equivalent-Preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in a classroom.
• Minimum of Technical Childcare Certificate (TCC)
• Commute to Decatur, GA (30035) required.
• In-person work.
