Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in vibrant Orlando, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to accurately identify and evaluate the origins and intensity of their pain.
• Create individualized treatment plans that consider each patient’s unique medical history, preferences, and pain management goals, potentially collaborating with specialists in other disciplines as required.
• Utilize a variety of pain management strategies, including medication management, interventional procedures like nerve blocks, and alternative therapies such as acupuncture or physical therapy.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and communication.
• Provide patient education on pain management practices, lifestyle adjustments, and ongoing care to empower individuals on their pathway to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse population of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions, including back pain, arthritis, and post-surgical pain. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving their overall health and well-being, particularly for underserved communities in the Orlando area, making your work not only impactful but also meaningful.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required, with current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) recognized by the Medical Board.
• A strong foundation in pain management practices with hands-on experience is essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required, candidates with a background in pain management or related specialties will be given preference.
• Experience working in a surgical center setting is advantageous, particularly with knowledge of interventional pain procedures and postoperative care.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pain Management Physician Assistant will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually.
