About the Role:

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, this role will provide the opportunity to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the relationships between the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings and their Season Seat Holders and Members. The successful candidate will work closely with Director, Marketing, to oversee year-round touchpoint plans, including digital communications, onboarding, welcome programs, renewals, and tenure recognition, while ensuring that they align with OEG revenue building goals. This role also leads the planning and execution of Season Seat Holder events, while supporting broader fan activations, including managing vendors, approvals, project timelines and creative deliverables to ensure fan experiences consistently lead the industry and are thoughtfully executed.

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Work with Director, Marketing to build out strategic plans identifying all key deliverables to Edmonton Oilers Season Seat Holders and Edmonton Oil Kings Season Seat Members, including welcome packages, renewals, onboarding and offboarding.
  • Liase with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure production and delivery of all relevant touchpoints throughout the year. Lead fulfillment, logistics, proofing and editing to ensure plans are executed on time and on budget.
  • Lead the planning, production and ongoing upgrading of permanent tenure project celebrating Season Seat Holders and their relationship with the club.
  • Manage the maintenance and deployment of marketing communications to Season Seat Holders and Members, including online portal, email, landing pages and robocalls.
  • Lead Holiday Socials and Photo Day, along with support on other fan events, including Fan Day and Oilers Skills Competition.
  • Work with key stakeholders to define success, establish campaign scope and set timelines.
  • Lead the project approvals process, ensuring final sign-off is received and facilitate revisions as necessary.
  • Negotiate, track and manage relationships with third-party vendors and seek ways to open new channels for the marketing team to reach target audiences.
  • Liase with in-house Digital Media, Event Presentation, and Creative teams to build strategic, informed, compelling deliverables that will produce desired marketing outcomes.
  • Use best practices like workback schedules, budgets and project charters to ensure campaigns and supporting collateral are delivered on time, within budget and at a high level of quality.
  • Ensure all campaign touchpoints for fans are accurate and in accordance with overall brand standards.
  • Actively participate in regular team meetings to ensure campaigns, projects and teams are on track, are well-coordinated with other initiatives, and that any risks, issues or conflicts are collaboratively managed.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma from a recognized institution in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct marketing experience
  • Experience overseeing the end-to-end production and physical delivery of print and digital marketing collateral
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing deployments across email, landing pages and digital portals
  • Experience in planning and executing large-scale events
  • Excellent writing ability with rigorous attention to detail in proofing, editing and maintaining brand standards
  • Experience managing the development and execution of marketing assets utilizing in-house creative and content resources
  • Ability to make critical decisions independently without supervision
  • Track record of building strong working relationships through effective communication, managing expectations and conflict management
  • Ability to to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Positive, energetic and professional attitude
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
