Job description

Premier Eye Care Group is seeking an Optometrist to join its established, patient-focused practice serving the Harrisburg and Camp Hill, Pennsylvania communities. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an eye care team that has delivered comprehensive medical, surgical, and vision care since 1981. The practice has an immediate need for a provider who is passionate about high-quality care, strong patient relationships, and contributing to a growing practice.

Why join us?

Premier Eye Care Group proudly provides eye care with compassion, integrity, and a strong commitment to patient-centered service. As a comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry practice, the team offers a full spectrum of medical, surgical, and vision care services, including cataract surgery, LASIK and refractive surgery, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, comprehensive eye exams, contact lens services, and the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular diseases. With a collaborative team that includes an ophthalmologist and four optometrists, Premier Eye Care Group is focused on continued growth while preserving the personalized care, clinical excellence, accessibility, and advanced technology patients have come to expect. The practice's team-based approach helps create a seamless experience for both patients and providers, with optometrists supported by in-room scribes and a highly trained technician team that performs refractions and comprehensive workups, including intraocular pressure measurements and dilation when appropriate, allowing providers to focus on delivering exceptional care.

What you'll do:
As an Optometrist with Premier Eye Care Group, you'll provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular disease, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, and collaborate closely with ophthalmologists to deliver seamless, patient-centered care. You'll be supported by advanced diagnostic and clinical technology, including ZEISS Clarus ultra-widefield retinal imaging, visual field analyzers, OCT imaging, Pentacam corneal tomography, specular microscopy, and electronic refraction systems (EPICS), along with a dedicated contact lens department and full-service optical shops at each office location. This ongoing investment in technology helps providers deliver accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and an exceptional patient experience.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school or college of optometry and be eligible for, or currently possess, an active Pennsylvania optometry license, with the ability to diagnose and treat ocular disease in accordance with Pennsylvania law. You're clinically skilled, patient-focused, and comfortable managing a full scope of optometric care, including ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lens care, and routine vision services. Eligibility for credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans is required. Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to build rapport with patients are essential, along with a collaborative mindset and commitment to working closely with ophthalmologists and support staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and exceptional patient outcomes.

Why you'll love Harrisburg and Camp Hill:
Living in the Harrisburg and Camp Hill area offers the best of both worlds: the convenience and energy of Pennsylvania's capital city paired with the charm and community feel of the West Shore. Harrisburg provides access to riverfront views, local dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions, while Camp Hill is known for its walkable shops, welcoming neighborhoods, parks, and small-town character. With nearby schools, recreational options, healthcare, shopping, and restaurants, the area makes it easy to enjoy a balanced lifestyle. Whether exploring the Susquehanna River, visiting local markets and eateries, or participating in community events, Harrisburg and Camp Hill offer a fulfilling place to live, work, and grow.

You'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Continuing education allowance
  • Malpractice insurance coverage

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in Pennsylvania
