Work Environment

As a fully remote position, this role allows for flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home, while still being an integral part of a closely-knit team of professionals. Your work will primarily involve providing therapy sessions for clients in a Hospice Center, where you will support individuals with serious illness and their families. Regular virtual meetings and supervision sessions will connect you with your colleagues, enhancing teamwork and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized and culturally competent therapy to clients, employing holistic and evidence-based techniques to maximize engagement and therapeutic outcomes.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to clients’ diverse cultural backgrounds, incorporating client feedback to inform treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and other social workers, to ensure cohesive and effective client care.
• Actively participate in regular supervision and professional development sessions to continually enhance your practice and cultural competence.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate challenges associated with mental health, grief, and cultural identity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will primarily consist of individuals dealing with the life-altering effects of severe and terminal illnesses. This may include supporting patients in hospice care and their families as they confront end-of-life issues. An understanding of cultural sensitivities and the ability to address varied psychosocial needs will be essential in providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing counseling services, especially in settings focused on mental health or hospice care.
• Proficiency in crisis management techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural factors that influence mental health.
• Familiarity with holistic treatment modalities and an integrative approach to mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
