Position Title: Reading Specialist
Location: Galvin Middle School
Summary:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time
Reading Specialist at Galvin Middle School. This
role requires expertise in reading development, data-driven instruction,
and a commitment to fostering a love of reading in all students.
Qualifications::
Certified Reading Specialist required
Valid DESE Reading Specialist License required Certification in
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide targeted reading intervention to students identified as
struggling readers through individual or small group instruction.
Assess and monitor student progress in reading, using formal
and informal assessment tools, and adjust instruction as needed.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the
implementation of literacy instruction across the curriculum.
Design and implement individualized reading plans for students
based on assessment data and classroom performance.
Stay current with research and best practices in reading
instruction and literacy development.
Salary: $31,651 - $59,659
