Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with approximately 5 years of experience managing technology projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and delivery skills, along with hands-on experience using Jira and Microsoft Project.
Experience managing application development projects is highly desirable.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, and deliver IT projects within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation and resolution plans.
Manage project scope, requirements, changes, dependencies, and deliverables.
Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Use Jira to manage project activities, workflows, backlogs, issues, and delivery progress.
Use Microsoft Project to develop and maintain project schedules and track milestones and dependencies.
Ensure effective communication across technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate application releases, testing, deployment activities, and project closure when applicable.
Maintain project documentation, status reports, RAID logs, action items, and other project artifacts.
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and team efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Approximately 5 years of experience in IT project management.
Demonstrated experience managing projects involving cross-functional technology teams.
Strong experience with Jira and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall.
Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing application development and software delivery projects.
Experience working with software development, QA, DevOps, or engineering teams.
Experience with Agile/Scrum project delivery.
Familiarity with SDLC processes and software development methodologies.
