Join our YMCA Youth Development Center team and CHANGE LIVES, INCLUDING YOURS.
As a Youth Development Center Teaching Assistant, you will nurture and educate children ages 0-5 in our licensed childcare and preschool center environment.
Callie Iglehart, YDC Teaching Assistant said, "I love my job because I feel I have a big impact on the children. I feel that I have made a difference in their lives."
In this role, you can look forward to:
1. Being a Role Model: You'll inspire and guide young minds as a positive role model, setting the foundation for their future.
2. Curriculum Facilitation: Implementing age-appropriate curriculum and weekly lesson plans written by the classroom Teacher to support early childhood development.
3. Child Safety: Prioritizing the safety and security of our children by diligently following safety procedures.
4. Parent Communication: Fostering positive relationships and open communication with parents by providing updates and answering questions.
5. Organized Environment: Help to provide a clean, organized classroom and equipment to create a quality learning environment.
6. Crisis Response: Being prepared to handle unexpected situations and emergencies promptly and effectively.
7. Team Player: Actively participating in staff meetings, contributing your valuable insights and ideas.

We are seeking individuals who embody the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Prior experience working in an early childhood or educational setting is a plus. CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
At the YMCA Youth Development Centers, we provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education. We have three locations in Bismarck Mandan--the Main YMCA on Washington Street, North location on Century Avenue and Mandan location inside the Family Wellness facility.
