Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies, tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that can include individual, family, couples, and group therapies, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients, enhancing treatment outcomes through coordinated interventions.
• Maintain accurate and updated clinical records following ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Participate regularly in professional development workshops and training programs aimed at enhancing clinical skills and introducing new therapeutic modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base, including individuals and families facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. By employing culturally sensitive approaches, you will help clients navigate their unique circumstances, empowering them to achieve meaningful progress on their journeys to mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Maryland.
• A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A profound understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proven capability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorder treatment is highly preferred.
• Acquaintance with contemporary mental health research, allowing for the incorporation of new therapeutic interventions into practice.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload capacity.
