Senior Staff Software engineer - Cryptography
Location: Remote
Visa: USC only (we are not accepting any other visas at this moment)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support a cloud-native cryptographic governance platform.
- Build solutions to discover, inventory, and manage cryptographic assets including keys, certificates, encryption algorithms, and security protocols across enterprise environments.
- Develop secure microservices for collecting, processing, normalizing, and correlating cryptographic data from distributed systems.
- Design and implement frameworks that identify cryptographic vulnerabilities, obsolete algorithms, and compliance risks while enabling prioritized remediation.
- Create intuitive dashboards, reporting capabilities, and data visualization components that provide actionable insights into cryptographic posture and post-quantum readiness.
- Develop search, filtering, and inventory management capabilities that allow users to efficiently explore relationships between cryptographic assets across complex environments.
- Architect highly available, scalable, and secure software solutions using modern cloud-native design principles and distributed systems architecture.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery, infrastructure provisioning, testing, and secure deployment processes.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and collaborate on cloud infrastructure management within AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Optimize application performance, database design, and data processing workflows utilizing PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and other modern data technologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define technical architecture, establish engineering standards, perform code reviews, and drive software quality initiatives.
- Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring resilient, reliable, and compliant production systems.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, implement monitoring and observability solutions, and continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to technical strategy, architectural decision-making, innovation initiatives, and the delivery of secure, enterprise-grade software solutions supporting regulated commercial and government environments.
