About the Organization

Located in Kent, Washington, Allina Innovative Health Consultation and Counseling Center is a leader in providing comprehensive mental health services in collaboration with medical providers. Our mission is to support our patients in achieving optimal health by addressing both their mental and physical health needs. We take pride in offering an inclusive and empowering environment where patients can thrive on their mental health journey.

We utilize state-of-the-art telehealth platforms and electronic health records to ensure seamless communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, integrating patients' medical histories and current physical health conditions into your evaluations.
  • Design and execute individualized integrated treatment plans that align psychiatric and medical interventions effectively.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
  • Engage in routine collaboration with medical providers to promote coordinated care and improve the overall health and recovery of patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and safety planning.
  • Educate patients on the intersections of mental and physical health, enhancing their understanding and encouraging self-management of their conditions.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical guidelines.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and recommendations based on your clinical expertise.
  • Stay informed of the latest research, treatment methods, and best practices in integrated care to enrich your practice and patient interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will support a diverse clientele including individuals facing various mental health challenges complicated by medical conditions. This includes patients managing chronic illnesses, treatment-resistant disorders, and other scenarios requiring a nuanced approach to integrated care. Your role will be crucial in addressing the comprehensive needs of this population, fostering a holistic view of health.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
  • Strong commitment to addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse patient population.
  • Proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries and adhering strictly to ethical guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth technologies.
  • Team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

Experience in integrated care settings, particularly dealing with patients who have both psychiatric and medical needs, is highly desirable. Familiarity with various therapy modalities, crisis intervention strategies, and community resources will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
