The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, customer-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. As a Commercial HVAC Service Apprentice, you will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems while developing the technical skills needed to advance into a Service Technician role.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Assist with equipment startups, repairs, and replacements.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Safely operate ladders, scissors lifts, and genie lifts.
• Learn basic sheet metal fabrication and installation practices.
• Develop knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Innovative Air professionally at all job sites.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC trade school enrollment or completion preferred.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to lift, carry, and work with HVAC equipment and materials.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
