Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient therapy to clients, employing both individual and group therapeutic modalities.
• Work collaboratively with treatment teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans that focus on effective recovery strategies.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in a timely manner to comply with agency and licensing standards.
• Contribute to on-unit programming initiatives and partake in ongoing training and professional development sessions.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication through timely participation in necessary meetings, ensuring coordinated and effective care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Inner Magic Counseling, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Your expertise will be vital in providing effective, culturally competent care that addresses the nuanced needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling proficient collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals.
• Excellent communication skills, complemented by an ability to form genuine connections with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• A demonstrated track record of delivering positive patient outcomes in treating mood disorders.
• Experience in community outreach and engagement initiatives that support mental health awareness and education.
• Knowledge or experience with digital health tools and teletherapy platforms.

• Attractive salary range between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance.
