Position Overview

Inner Journey Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is critical in providing therapeutic services to individuals and families struggling with mood disorders. Work Environment

This position allows for a remote work setting with the option to engage with clients in our outpatient office in Reno. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, assessing intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clients to design individual treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, objectives, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client issues.
• Provide psychoeducation and support for clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices.
• Regularly monitor and track client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to evolving needs.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients, ensuring all aspects of their health are considered.
• Stay informed on current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Actively advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Inner Journey Wellness Center, you will work primarily with clients suffering from mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as those navigating transitions due to significant life changes. Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will be instrumental in providing empathetic support to empower these individuals to overcome their challenges.

Qualifications

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental approach to understanding clients’ experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are vital for effective administrative responsibilities alongside clinical duties.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients dealing with mood disorders is preferred, particularly using evidence-based therapies.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous involvement with advocacy or outreach programs targeting underserved communities is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
