Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Inner Ascent Counseling Services, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess progress, stability, and discuss discharge plans when appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, person-centered treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes for each client encounter, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate client issues and formulate effective treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, employing various therapeutic modalities suited for the client's specific challenges.
  • Engage in individual supervision to enhance professional growth and clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care solutions for clients.
  • Embrace a growth mindset and remain current with mental health best practices and emerging therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will particularly focus on youth, addressing mental health challenges faced by adolescents and young adults. You will work with clients who may suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disorders. Your ability to connect with younger populations through engaging therapeutic approaches will be crucial in fostering trust and encouraging a proactive stance towards mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Mental Health or a closely related field is required.
  • Must possess current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Eligibility for internal credentialing within relevant clinical settings.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience performing comprehensive assessments and developing dynamic treatment plans.
  • Proficiency in individual and group therapy, with a strong foundation in various therapeutic modalities.
  • Demonstrated competency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer skills for documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
