Job description

The Desktop Support Technician is a full-time opportunity to join our growing team. We are looking for an ambitious and promising teammate who can offload lower-level tasks from our veteran team members. Our ideal candidate aspires to higher levels of technical competence and responsibility but never outgrows humility.  A qualified candidate will have a drive to provide a consistently excellent client experience. Responsibilities:

·        Ability to consistently and effectively communicate across all clients and teams.

·        Excellent organizational, documentation, and writing skills.

·        Working directly with clients and working to build strong relationships with them.

·        Build, configure, deploy, and replace user workstations, including varying levels of hardware and software customer training.

·        Diagnose, investigate, and resolve computer issues both desk-side and remotely.

·        Thoroughly maintain and update trouble tickets and track time spent.

·        Maintain asset and configuration information.

·        Troubleshoot and assist users with Microsoft Office products.

·        Troubleshoot and assist users with Microsoft Windows desktop operating system issues.

·         Troubleshot and assist users with general network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless networks.

·        Remediate computers affected by viruses and malware.

·        Assist clients in configuring mobile devices for use with items such as email and general troubleshooting.

·        Take ownership of assigned tasks and work them through to completion and communicate when assistance is needed.

·        Ability to diagnose quickly and solve or escalate problems to appropriate team members.


Technology:

·        Microsoft Windows Desktops

·        Microsoft Office Applications

·        Android and iOS devices

·        Remote Access such as RDP and VPN

·        Networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls

·        Active Directory for user account management

·        Apple Macintosh Devices

·        Network cabling
