Overview
Support Staff personnel provide administrative support for the Marion Superior Court Probation Department by answering inquiries, both in person and via the phone, monitoring systems, and performing data entry and e-filing tasks.
Position Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answer telephones, direct calls to appropriate person, answer questions; take and distribute messages.

Answer routine inquiries, complaints, concerns in person and/or by telephone; direct individuals to appropriate authority.

Input and update information on various computer systems; initiate/maintain files; generate forms/reports from database, including e-filing.
-
Sort and distribute incoming mail.
-
Always communicate with the Courts, outside agencies, and the public in a professional, respectful manner.
6.) Assist with other projects and duties as directed by the unit supervisor or management team member.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or HSE is required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

General knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office and email.

Ability to interact with diverse populations in a team environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively with strict deadlines and expectations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in dealing effectively with other professionals and the public.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Salary is based on applicable expeirence. A salary enhancement is available for bi-lingual Spanish or Burmese skills, an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
