Overview

Provides customer service and reception support for the Marion Superior Court and its operations at the Youth Services Center.

Position Responsibilities

  • Answers telephones, greets and provides information to members of the public responding to questions.

  • General clerical work as needed.

  • Sorts mail.

  • Monitors cell phone locker.

  • Security screening of those entering the secure Youth Services Center.

  • Answer routine inquiries, directing individuals to appropriate authority.

  • Always communicate with the co-workers, courts, outside agencies, and the public in a professional, respectful manner.

  • Assist with other projects and duties as directed by the supervisor or member of the leadership team.

Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED/HSE certificate is required. Excellent customer service skills are essential. Must be patient and respectful always, and able to work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals. Proven technology skills/experience are required, including a general knowledge of Microsoft Office products and email. Must possess excellent oral communication skills and have experience in dealing effectively with other professionals and the public.

There are two positions. One is full-time, 8a-5p, Monday through Friday. The other is part-time (no benefits), 12 hours per week, 4p-8p, Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8a-12p Saturdays.
