Job description

Commercial Equipment Installer | $56K–$65K | Indianapolis

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Full-Time

Auto-Chlor System is hiring a Commercial Equipment Installer to join our Indianapolis team.

This is a hands-on mechanical role for someone who already knows their way around tools, understands how mechanical equipment works, and is comfortable troubleshooting problems independently.

You do not need experience with commercial dishwashers. We will train you on our equipment.

What we're looking for is the mechanical foundation you already bring with you.

What You'll Do

Once our sales team brings on a new customer, you'll take ownership of the equipment installation.

Our commercial dishwashing systems range from smaller units to larger machines with additional components and conveyor systems.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Installing commercial dishwashing equipment at customer locations

  • Assembling, connecting, adjusting, and testing equipment

  • Using hand and power tools throughout the installation

  • Troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical issues

  • Determining solutions when an installation doesn't go exactly as planned

  • Working independently at customer locations

  • Ensuring equipment is operating properly after completing the job

  • Training restaurant staff on how to operate the equipment

  • Explaining basic cleaning, startup, shutdown, and equipment care

What We're Looking For

This is not an entry-level mechanical position.

We're looking for someone who already has professional, hands-on experience installing, repairing, maintaining, fabricating, or troubleshooting mechanical equipment or systems.

Your background could include:

  • Equipment installation or repair

  • Field service

  • HVAC installation or service

  • Appliance installation or repair

  • Plumbing

  • Industrial or facilities maintenance

  • Automotive, diesel, aircraft, or equipment repair

  • Mechanical construction or fabrication

  • Millwright work

  • Electrical/mechanical installation

You don't have to come from one specific industry.

What matters is that you're already comfortable using tools, solving mechanical problems, and figuring things out in the field. We'll train you on our machines—not on basic mechanical skills.

What You'll Receive
  • $56,000–$65,000 first-year earnings, including overtime and on-call pay

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Life and AD&D insurance

  • 401(k) with profit sharing

  • Paid holidays

  • Up to 80 hours of vacation in your first year

  • Career training and advancement opportunities

Requirements
  • Professional hands-on mechanical, installation, repair, or maintenance experience

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

  • Comfortable working independently

  • Able to communicate professionally with customers

  • Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years

  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.

  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 7–8 weeks

If you already know how to work with tools and troubleshoot mechanical equipment, we'll teach you the rest.
