• Overseeing staff in production of school meals
• Menu planning with adherence to accepted nutrition guidelines
• Striving for excellent food quality
• Following all municipal and health ordinances and codes
• Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and students
• Coordinating and tracking of inventory
• Managing vendor relationships
• Ordering product in relation to menus and inventories
• Managing food and labor costs in relation to budget
• Administering government school lunch program
