Our client is a global industrial manufacturer specializing in highly engineered products designed for demanding environments where reliability, safety, and performance are critical. The organization operates across multiple industrial markets, supporting applications in energy, chemical processing, advanced manufacturing, and transportation.

The General Manager / President will lead a multi-site North American business, with full ownership of financial performance, commercial growth, and operational execution. This role sits at the intersection of sales and operations, responsible for scaling the commercial engine while strengthening operational performance across the business.

The Environment

This role operates within a complex, technical manufacturing environment with multiple facilities and a cross-functional leadership team. The business requires close alignment between sales, engineering, and operations to deliver highly customized solutions to customers.

The environment is performance-driven and global in scope, requiring coordination with international stakeholders while maintaining strong execution at the site level. Travel between locations and to customer sites is a regular component of the role.

• Full ownership and improvement of P&L performance across a multi-site operation
• Growth in revenue and margin through strong commercial leadership and pipeline development
• Alignment of sales, engineering, and operations to improve execution and delivery
• Implementation of operational improvements across quality, safety, and production performance
• Development of a high-performing leadership team across functions
• Clear strategic direction with execution plans that drive measurable business outcomes
• 6–10+ years of leadership experience in industrial manufacturing environments
• Proven P&L ownership within a mid-sized business or similar operational scope
• Experience leading multi-site operations and full value chain execution
• Background in engineered products, capital equipment, or process-driven industries
• Strong commercial acumen, including customer engagement, bids, and negotiations
• Experience driving operational improvements through Lean or continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to operate effectively within a global, matrixed organization
