Independent HR Management Solution is seeking a highly motivated Employee Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As the Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefit and retirement plans.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
- Verify enrollments.
- Manage and maintain employee benefit database and files.
- Ensure compliance with required benefit notices.
- Verify all insurance billing.
- Monitor COBRA through the TPA website.
- Manage ACA.
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence/disabilities.
- Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with management and TPA. Follow up on claims.
- Assist with obtaining statistics and information in the renewal process of group benefit policies.
- Prepare and maintain employee and absentee reports.
- Prepare benefit reports used for payroll processing.
- Assist with benefits reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in benefits administration
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Human Resources
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following HRIS systems - Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, BambooHR.
- Working knowledge of ACA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation.
- Must have a dedicated, quiet, and professional office space for remote work.
This is a part-time, 32+ hours-per-week, remote position.
