You unpack your toolkit, study the print, align portable equipment, and bring worn or damaged assets back into tolerance—often within ±0.010—so production can keep moving. What You’ll Do
  • Bring manual machining expertise to dynamic client sites—this is not a shop position.
  • Hold tight tolerances (±0.010) in demanding field conditions.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain specialized portable machining equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver custom solutions.
  • Champion quality and safety standards on every assignment.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of manual and/or field machining experience.
  • Hands-on skill with Bridgeport knee mills and manual engine lathes.
  • Fluency in blueprint/mechanical drawing interpretation and GD&T.
  • Mastery with micrometers and precision inspection tools.
  • Basic rigging competence and safe power tool operation.
  • Deep knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, and feeds.
  • Resourceful troubleshooting and the ability to adapt on the fly.
  • High school diploma or GED/HSED required; Journeyman or technical degree preferred.
Certifications & Logistics
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • IPM Overhead Crane Training certification.
  • Forklift training and valid license.
  • Frequent travel (including some weekends); comfortable using mobile apps for time and expenses.
