Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role is based in Troy, IL. The technician will install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems, including diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and performing system start-ups. Daily tasks include responding to service calls, performing inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed. The role involves interacting with customers, explaining findings and recommendations, and ensuring a safe and clean work area. The technician will follow company standards, local codes, and manufacturer guidelines while working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues using strong Troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of basic Plumbing principles as they relate to HVAC systems and condensate management.
  • Experience performing Preventive Maintenance on heating and cooling equipment to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Understanding of Electricity, including reading wiring diagrams and safely working with electrical components.
  • Current EPA certification or eligibility to obtain EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in HVAC installation and service.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions, lift moderate weights, and follow safety procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience in HVAC service or installation and relevant technical training or trade school education preferred.
