IdeaTek is looking for an Inbound Residential Sales Representative to help prospective customers discover the value of fast, reliable internet. You'll be one of the first people customers connect with when they're interested in IdeaTek, so your ability to listen, build trust, and create a great experience matters.

This is a fast-paced, phone-based sales role where you'll move from one customer conversation to the next-answering questions, recommending services, overcoming objections, closing sales, and helping existing customers find solutions that strengthen their experience with IdeaTek. We're looking for someone who is eager to serve people, motivated by goals, and excited to be a promoter of IdeaTek and our mission of Internet Freedom.

A Day in the Life

Your day will center around connecting with customers who reach out to learn more about IdeaTek. You'll answer inbound calls, ask thoughtful questions to understand what matters most to each customer, explain our services in simple terms, and recommend solutions that fit their needs.

You'll guide customers through the sales process, work through questions or objections, identify opportunities to add services that provide value, and help customers get started with IdeaTek. You'll also support retention conversations focused on building lasting customer relationships. 

You'll move quickly from one conversation to the next while documenting accurate information, completing follow-up tasks, and working toward individual and team sales goals.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

• Serve as a positive first impression of IdeaTek by building trust and sharing our mission of Internet Freedom with prospective customers.
• Manage inbound sales inquiries by listening to customer needs, identifying opportunities, and recommending the IdeaTek services that provide the best fit.
• Guide customers through the sales process by clearly explaining services, pricing, promotions, and next steps.
• Apply consultative sales techniques to navigate objections, uncover additional needs, and identify relevant upsell opportunities.
• Support customer retention by understanding cancellation requests and identifying appropriate solutions that encourage customers to stay with IdeaTek.
• Create a remarkable customer experience by providing clear, educational, and helpful information throughout each interaction.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information while efficiently managing calls, follow-ups, and other assigned tasks.
• Stay current on IdeaTek products, services, promotions, and processes to confidently answer customer questions and represent our brand.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in sales, call center, or customer service
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs and respond appropriately.
• Ability to learn and clearly communicate product, service, and process information.
• Comfortable working toward defined sales goals and performance expectations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to efficiently move between customer interactions and tasks.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer needs, including some evenings, alternate hours, and weekends.

What Will Help You Stand Out

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous inbound/inside sales experience.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales or performance goals.
• Experience with consultative selling, objection handling, upselling, or customer retention.
• Experience using CRM or customer management systems.
• General knowledge of telecommunications services, including internet, wireless, or phone services.
